If there is one posture you should do everyday it is this one. Not only does it frame up your upper and lower body so you can flush out your bones, it also takes all the pressure off the spine and pelvis so you can have a healthier, more fluid, pelvis and spine.
Why Table Pose?
Table pose is essential to learn before any other posture on your hands or feet. It teaches you how to measure your hands shoulder distance, measure your feet hip distance, how to find the center of your knee so you don’t damage it in postures that place weight on the knee, how to align your arm bones and leg bones to 90 degree angles so you can flush out and strengthen your bones, and it allows you to find the natural alignment in your spine, with all the waves waving the proper way.
The other thing table pose teaches you is how to become fluid in your wrist joint. Just like a pancake, if you don’t flip your wrist, it will burn out. In this pose you will learn how to flip your wrists correctly, that anyone can do, because I will teach you how to do it at the wall.
This ensures that you stretch your wrist the way you probably never do. When you do this you can potentially avoid wrist issues such as carpal tunnel. Anyone that uses their hands (everyone) needs to learn how to flip the wrist in table pose.
